This is an undergraduate course for prospective teachers. This course of theoretical and practical that is within the area of basic professional training. This course provides teachers to the fundamental principles of educational measurement and evaluation which you will need to apply as a teacher. The topics to be covered include the definition of terms such as assessment, test, measurement and evaluation, the importance of assessment in educational process, characteristics of and effective assessment. Portfolio assessment. Educational objectives (Bloom’s taxonomy), types of tests, test development and administration. Reliability, validity and item analysis for the teacher made test, test administration, grading, reporting and the interpretation of data from standardized test. Descriptive Statistics and reporting of test items’ results to the relevant educational stakeholders.
